Come with us to climb Monte San Lorenzo. This is the highest mountain in Patagonia outside of the ice fields in Patagonia.
It is located on the borderline between Chile and Argentina, south east from Cerro Castillo village. A unique mountain that offers a terrain surrounded by a multitude of glaciers and granite massifs. Come with us on this 10 days expedition and discover the wonders of this mountain.

1) Location and travel:
- Your trip starts and ends in Cerro Castillo village. This is a super convenient place to get to Patagonia, and then travel south to the entrance of the trail that leads us to Monte San Lorenzo.
- All the transport since the client arrives at Balmaceda's airport is included.
2) Terrain:
- The terrain in San Lorenzo is unique. This peak is the biggest mountain out of the Patagonia ice fields. The fact that there are no more people around makes the experience even more special.
3) Conditions/Weather:
-The Season starts in September until January.
4) Fitness and Experience:
- Alpine climbing requires good levels of fitness.
- The expedition is planned as a 6-day trip, taking advantage of the best days to attempt the summit, plus some weather days and crevasse rescue practice.
5) Guiding Team:
- All our packages are staffed by local UIAGM-IFMGA certified guides working at a maximum ratio of 1 guide with 2 clients.
